Cedars of Lake Eugenia Cottage Resort, formerly Cedar Cottage Resort, is a family oriented, family owned, housekeeping cottage resort located on the shores of beautiful Lake Eugenia, at the south entrance to the picturesque Beaver Valley.
Our modern lakeside chalets and cottages are designed for comfort and relaxation no matter what season of the year.
Chalets:
Our modern lakeside chalets are designed for comfort and relaxation no matter what season of the year. The 3 bedroom chalets will sleep up to 8 guests. Each self-catering chalet features a separate fully equipped kitchen with fridge, range, microwave and small appliances. The living/dining room area is fully furnished with comfort in mind, complete with colour cable TV, ceiling fans and a wood burning fireplace. The four piece bath includes a whirlpool. The chalets have air conditioning for the summer and electric baseboard heating in the winter.
All three chalets are right on the water front. You have a front row seat for spectacular sunsets. Each chalet has a deck front and back and a balcony off the master bedroom, a private sitting area outside with chairs, picnic table and a fire pit, plus a propane BBQ for summer guests (May long weekend to Thanksgiving). At all other times, firewood is provided free of charge.
Cottages:
Our traditional style two bedroom self-catering cottages offer many of the features and all of the comfort of our chalets. Small cottages sleep up to four guests, large cottages sleep up to six guests and are perfect for couples or families. You will find complete kitchen facilities including a microwave, hot and cold running water plus a three piece washroom with shower. All have colour cable TV, fireplaces and decks complete with BBQs during the summer season (May long weekend to Thanksgiving). At all other times, firewood is provided free of charge. All cottages are fully winterized and have electric baseboard heating.
Resort Facilities:
Each unit at Cedars has its own deck, lawn chairs, picnic tables and fire pit, propane BBQ's are supplied during the summer season (May long weekend to Thanksgiving.) For the remainder of the year, firewood is provided free of charge. There are peddle-boats for the kids and canoes for those who enjoy a quiet few hours on the water at no charge to guests! Children love to play on our shallow, sandy beach. Our heated outdoor pool is a great way to relax; it is open from mid-June to Labour Day.
Lake Eugenia is well known for fishing, especially if you enjoy bass, perch or trout. Rental motor boats are available. If you don't fish, you may just want to take a little cruise around the lake.
Stop by the Games Room for a game of pool, table tennis, shuffleboard or cards, there are complimentary board games available at the office. There is a children's park with swings, slides and fireman's pole.
Area Attractions:
Cedars of Lake Eugenia Cottage Resort has several golf courses within a short distance and the back roads are great for cycling.
For the alpine skiers we are close to some of Ontario's most popular ski slopes, Talisman, Beaver Valley, are only 10 minutes away, to Blue Mountain is 25 minutes. For those who enjoy cross country skiing we are a 15 minute drive from Kolapore Uplands Wilderness Area.
The scenery is incredible, there are 7 waterfalls in Grey County, look out over Beaver Valley from the top of Old Baldy Mountain, explore the Feversham Gorge. Visit the Scenic Caves near Collingwood. |
